Medical Officer (MBBS) required – C-NES, Guwahati Office invites online applications for appointment on contractual basis for the post of Medical Officer (MBBS) for Boat Clinic Program. Candidates can apply at officeasstguwahati@c-nes.org on or before 4 October 2024.

  1. Nature of work – Medical Officer:
  1. The Medical Officer will guide the clinical unit of the Boat Clinic.
  2. He/She will work in close co-ordination with the District Program Officer (DPO) and conduct the Boat Clinic health camps in collaboration with District Health Society (DHS) of the district.
  3. He/She will check the list of categories of items required for each clinic, which will include – Drugs, Medical Supplies, Equipment and Instruments.
  4. He/She have to coordinate any work of the district including management & coordination of the camps along with other staffs when the responsibility is handed over by DPO, while the DPO is out of station on official duties / or on leave.
  5. He/She will ensure that proper record of all programs is maintained as mentioned in Sl. No. 3.
  6. He/She will monitor and verify stock of medicine, vaccines and reagents and ensure that proper physical stock and stock register is maintained by the concerned staff. MO will countersign the registers on monthly basis after verification.
  7. The Managing Trustee, Program Manager through the District Program Officer (DPO) will assign other related work relevant to / associated with the project to you from time to time.
  8. He/She will also ensure that daily reporting of health camp activities is reported through the online portal of the GoI as per the requirement.
  9. He/she will prepare the monthly disease analysis report as per the format and submit before the 7th day of each month.

Job Responsibility-

  1. Curative Work
  2. He/She will have to attend to Boat Clinic in the Chars/Saporis as per action plan regularly.
  3. He/She will have to refer the emergency cases if required utilizing Referral Boat/Ambulance for transportation of patients to the nearby PHC/CHC.
  4. He/She will utilize laboratory services available for cases when necessary.
  5. Passive Surveillance – Blood Slides are to be taken for all fever cases and necessary presumptive treatment or Fever radical treatment to be given as per new drugs regime from NVBDCP.
  6. He/She will provide guidance to the health assistants, health workers and other health care provider in the treatment of minor and major ailments.
  7. Your major role will be to provide health services & other health related activities including intensive awareness campaigns, organizing national health programs and allied research activities to the char/sapories communities of the district. This job will require travelling by boat, road or walking to provide health services in chars / saporis of the district assigned as per the approved annual micro plan.
