Vacancy: Laboratory Technician
C-NES Regional Office, Guwahati invites online applications for appointment on contractual basis for the following position under Boat Clinic Program supported by NHM, Govt. of Assam. Laboratory Technician – 1 Post
Candidate should have a Diploma from Medical Colleges of Assam OR Institutes affiliated to Srimanta Sankardeva University of Health Sciences, Assam.
Experience: at least 1 year of working in a hospital or Diagnostic Center or Mobile Medical Clinic
Age: Up to 45 years as on 1 April 2025.
(A) Key Responsibilities – Laboratory Technician – 1 Post
- Undertaking all clinical laboratory tests and submission of reports thereof as advised by Medical Officer (MO) and counseling as per the laboratory reports to patients on healthy life style like proper diet, maintenance of personal hygiene, physical exercise, rational use of medicine and its side effects etc
- Any further investigation suggested by Medical Officer is to be explained very clearly to the patient/attendant the requirement for the test for proper diagnosis and treatment. In case of passive surveillance, after taking the blood slide patient must be told when to collect report and from where.
- Your major role will be to assist all activities related to organizing boat clinic activity, i.e. indenting, data input in the govt. portal, storage, distribution, logistics, transportation, inventory control, including update of stocks of all laboratory equipment and reagents and other articles in the stock ledgers, which is directly related to your technical nature of work both in the boat and in the office.
- You are to work in close coordination with DPO / MO and assist each member of the team whenever required. Prepare test reports on monthly basis for onward reporting to higher authority.
- You are to maintain cordial relationship on a regular basis with the District Health Authority at HQ and with the religious leaders, Teachers, Stake Holder, Panchayat members and other influential persons in the char /sapori.
- Other related work relevant to / associated with the camps or project will be assigned to you from time to time by DPO or MO.
- Assist when required for conducting field survey and collecting samples as and when required.
Remuneration
Rs. 13,000/- per month (consolidated) as remuneration per month with coverage of annual Accidental and Medical insurance. Income tax (TDS) and Professional Tax will be deducted at source as per rules where applicable.
