Sanjoy Hazarika chairs session at Geneva

Dr. Mark Limon, Executive Director at Universal Rights Group, speaks at the launch of CHRI’s report on The Commonwealth at the Human Rights Council, a decade of voting (2006-2016), in Geneva today at a side event organized by CHRI and supported by CIVICUS and FIDH. Dr. Limon said thr program was unique for it was the first side event reviewing voting patterns that he was aware of his decade at the HRC. Other speakers included Dr. Jyoti Sanghera, head of the Asia Pacific desk at the OHCHR,on the left of Sanjoy Hazarika, CHRI director, who chaired the session where diplomats including ambassadors from New Zealand, Uganda and Fiji as well as diplomats from UK, Canada, Israel, Ireland, Solomon Islands and Malawi. On Dr. Sangwan’s left is Clement Voule, advocacy director at African Commission on Human and People’s Rights. Far right is Yashnavi Nain who authored the report along with Nolberto Zubia.
