BLOOD BANK for people from North East India in Delhi & NCR – The NE States and Delhi Student Unions have agreed to donate blood.Our aim is to build the largest blood bank of Delhi & NCR. Request blood donation from you too.

1.BACKGROUND- Many patients from the region have requested  blood donation from NE police for operations/emergency. The NE Bhavan’s in Delhi have also requested me for arranging blood donors. My jawans and I have arranged for blood donations repeatedly for the poor and needy patients from the region.
The need for blood is increasing. It is costly and risky to take donors from the market. Hence this INITIATIVE of NE Blood bank. The initiative is already in an advanced stage for tie ups with Apollo Hospitals, Red Cross and AIIMs.

2- PROCEDURE – All voluntary NE blood donors will be given blood donor cards by hospitals and they can help needy patients any time, any where at Delhi by showing the  cards at any hospitals in emergency.
Pan NE NGO – HELPING HANDS will coordinate the whole processes – blood donation camps, issuing donor cards, record maintaining, tie ups with hospitals etc.
We already have 47 top Delhi hospitals giving NE people working in private sectors including students, media personals, advocates, patients medical treatment concessions ranging from 15% to 35 % in these hospitals.

3 – FIRST DONORS – All NE Delhi Student Unions . Delhi Students Unions of Tangkhul, Kukis, Meiteis, Bodos, Gorkhas and Ladakhi have also confirmed to donate blood during donation camps, to be held soon at Delhi.The Delhi North East Media Forum has also enthusiastically agreed to donate blood for such a noble cause. So far, 7471 NE volunteers have enlisted their names for blood donation.

4 – Trying to reach out to our NE Ministers, MPs, Bhavan staff and employees for blood donation.

Please spread this initiative to all from the region at Delhi and NCR, and also back home, so that any visitors from NE states can donate blood whenever they are at Delhi.
