IT scholarships on offer for NE toppers
The International Institute for Information Technology (I2IT) at Pune, Maharashtra, has offered two scholarships for the Masters Program in the field of Advanced Information Technology for the session beginning January 2004 to deserving students of the North East.
The offer by the Finolex Group of industries, which has established the institute at Pune (dedicated to the nation by President APJ Abdul Kalam in May 2003), will cover the full tuition fees of the students – the value of which is estimated at Rs 2.5 lakh each. The scholarships will be administered by the Centre for North East Studies and Policy Research under a Selection Committee headed by eminent economist, Dr Jayanta Madhab, and is an effort to develop and recognise the HR potential of the region. The students/applicants will have to necessarily have first class ranking and have completed their graduation for entry into I2IT.
