NE Events in Chennai – Sept 22-24

Madras University’s Political Science Department under Prof. Ramu Mannivannan, head of department, is hosting a three-day outreach programme on campus beginning on Sept 22 with the release of the Report ‘Bearing Witness: The Impact of Conflict on Women in Nagaland and Assam’; this will be followed by the opening of the photo exhibition; a screening of the doucmentary film, ‘A Measure of Impunity’ and a discussion on the Report will also take place. The discussion will be chaired by Prof. Mannivanan and will include Dr. Swarna Rajagopalan, film director Maulee Senapati and Mr. Mirza Rahman, senior researcher for the Assam segment of the project.
