For years, the Boat Clinics of C-NES have served as vital lifelines for the riverine communities in different districts of Assam, bringing essential healthcare to thousands who remain cut off from the mainland.

Operated by C-NES with funding from National Health Mission, Assam, and other doners like Glenmark Foundation, these wooden vessels are called the ‘Ships of Hope in the Valley of Floods’ and these mobile clinics navigates the current of the mighty Brahmaputra to provide maternal and child care, immunizations, and emergency treatment where no other health facilities exist.

With the natural wear and tear caused by vagaries of weather and water over the years, these vessels often require urgent structural repairs to remain operational and keep the teams safe during seasons of high waters as well as during winters when the water levels fall.

We could specially value support and donations as we are trying to raise a ‘Boat Repair and Maintenance Fund’ of Rs. 20,000,00.00 which would help keep the crucial Boat Clinics and the team afloat.
